Law 2 Division of Exponents

If we have to divide the powers which have the same base then we have to subtract the exponents. i.e.

frac{a^m}{a^n}=a^{m- n}

Example:

1.;;frac{7^9}{7^3}=7^{9-3}=7^6

2.;; frac{8^5}{8^7}=8^{5-7}=8^-^2=frac{1}{8^2}

3. ;; frac{8^5}{2^4}=frac{(2^3)^5}{2^4}=frac{2^1^5}{2^4}=2^{15-4}=2^1^1
